I am going to post a poem based on the characters taken from the Stephen King Novel called Fever Dream. It was taken from my book of poems called the Calling of the Roween. Not so sure about my ability with poetry or not it seems popular but maybe that is because people are just being kind. Anyway the poem is called


Nosferatu.

You walk the night as day,
Subject to no laws of earthly decay.
A feast through lives is your heritage,
Untouched by time’s cold sway,
A wandering death.
To roam the earth.
To shadow life’s red fuel.

Threatened by light.
Wounded by love.
Sorrowed by care.
Haunted by a cross
Seeking nothing.
Time’s rack slave

And yet, once touched,
by cattle slain.
An Irish prize fighter!
Who stood, arms raised,
To defend his lady fair.
Impossible odds to face.
For talon and teeth to rend.
Yet many times, to rise again,
To defend his lady fair.
No victory this, for cattle slain.
A feast of blood for beauties face.
The hunger slated the two remain.
Memories image, the will to change.

Now love known, marks the night.
Holds the wing,
To pace the run.
Haunts the footfall.
Their love to blaze.
Lights constant pain, radiates treasure lost.
Witnessed, time and time again.

How long to walk?
How long the pain?
A sorrowed knowledge.
The will to slay!
