The 61 year- old Kyung Wha Chung will be performing 2 times this year after being absent from concert halls for 5 years since the onset of her finger injury. I am so excited as she is in my opinion, one of the greatest violinists who ever lived. She will playing the Brahms violin concerto (what a bold move to mark the end of her hiatus with this extremely demanding concerto) on 4th May at the Seoul Arts Center with conductor Vladamir Ashkenazy and again on 21 Nov playing the Beethoven violin concerto with Franz Welser-Moest at the same venue.
