Mad string disease
How accurate this is I know not, but according to the Telegraph EU laws on CJD are shutting down production of gut strings for 'period' instruments (& presumably could lead to their use being prohibited?).

I wonder if they have tried the signature campaign pre or post-concerts ??? i'm thinking most of the audience do not even have a facebook account. ... o_O
