Pyotr Tchaikovsky--Symphony No.3 in D Major, Op.29 {"Polish"}, featuring the London Symphony Orchestra led by Igor Markevich.
Jean Sibelius--Symphony No.2 in D Major, Op.43 and Symphony No.3 in C Major, Op.52, both performed by the Vienna Philharmonic under the baton of Lorin Maazel.

Hi Roehre - the Kirchner Concerto was on New World Records
(LP) NW-286, which they had taken off a former LP,
Columbia ML-5185.
The Piston Sixth symphony was on the same NW-286, which was taken off a older RCA LM-2083

It's a pity that the 3 mvts from the concerto are played attacca -as intended for a complete performance of the work.

IMO there is a missed chance here, as the CD -or other digital formats- offer the possibillity to add the concert endings/codas to either of these movements, which Berg composed in case of a performance of a single movement.
That's the ending he used in his trio transcription of the slow movement.

In the LP-era there was at least one recording (Weissenberg on EMI???) where a concert ending was used at the end of the mvt after which the LP had to be turned over, a really thoughtful solution where to make a break.

Btw Haydnguy, you spotted the Schönberg Kammersymphonie quote (the very opening of that piece) in the first mvt of the concerto?
