Default NI Rebekah Brooks phone hacking case

Don't know if you've all been following this, but here's a recent link: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/ma...brooks-charges
Don't they all say that? I can't help the feeling that some bigger fish than "flame-haired" Rebekah will escape the cane.

And let's be frank: if flame-haired Rebekah does finally go down for perverting the course of justice (maybe for 10 months or so, depending on good behaviour), she'll certainly be enjoying a wide range of prison fare (including hair pie, perhaps?) with her "porridge". Or maybe she'll "sing" before it comes to that? Please do excuse my cynicism. [We don't. Ed.]
Mr Philidor: please delete this posting if too near the bone, so to speak.

Actually I think the opposite - they will sentence this vile woman to jail, for just a few months... but the real crooks who did the phone-tapping will escape justice entirely.

I can think of two more meanings for LOL:

"Left on Limb" or "Look out Leveson" !

The whole thing is too ridiculous and stupid for words.
She can't possibly get a fair trial being one of the most demonised figures around at the moment. If I were her lawyer, [what a terrifying thought] I would apply immediately to have the charges set aside. Even if it were to go as far as the trial and she were to be convicted, the whole thing would be a complete travesty and miscarriage, and I am pretty sure that could be set aside.
A very funny front cover of Private Eye this week, showing her as one of the accused in the Saelem witch trial being possessed by her familiar spirit, old Rupert!

She should have thought of that before she bugged the phones of dead children.

Burning would be too quick for her.

Not disputed at all. But we are talking about the legal process, and to be fair to her and that SS officer Coulson, the pressure both of them have been under over the last year, and the adverse publicity is totally unprecedented.

Yes, that was what I was trying to say. [He's not very clear, is he, our dear Quijote. Ed.]
Still, there's time yet for Rebekaaah to "sing" before she's sent down for a spate of lukewarm porridge (served with hair pie).

There is a school of thought that says that the phone hacking scandal was so bad and nearly brought the British establishment so close to collapse that the elites want to make sure that the people that put them in this position should do bird for it.
It's certainly true that at least it was as bad as the Profumo affair of the early 1960's , and some would say a lot worse in the damage that it did to the westminster mafia.
I think she has already had a few tunes played on her, and I doubt there are anymore melodies in that direction.
The situation shifts constantly as the drip, drip of the Leveson enquiry continues. Certainly, my own view is that if there is this declaration that Rupert is not a fit and proper person for his titles, and that is in the offing at the moment, he will be stripped of his ownership of the disgusting Sun, and he would have every incentive to go nuclear on Cameron, because he undoubtedly has far more dirt in that direction.
You couldn't make all this stuff up.
