Not available in the UK???? That's a farce.

Anyway, it was good. Some psycho-sexual love triangle basically, set in (I think?)the 12th century? Which was an excuse for the husband to be brutal towards his wife, but heck, that happens plenty today, no need for the medieval period! And, while I'm at it, not sure the wife would have been that bold either...

Hit all the markers of modern opera: gay kiss, female masturbation, heavy handed, self-conscious, leadenly symbolic libretto - cough -- I don't need you to have the characters telling me "I HAVE A NAME NOW!" Wow, how liberating for you! I'm surprised she didn't say "I am liberated now!!" Show not tell, Martin Crimp? is this what "in-yer-face" theater is about? snark. I'm sorry, it reminded me of Tippett a little bit. Carrying on a great tradition there, guys.

The music was a bit better. Also also special-effects laden, some interesting colors, milked some giant cows in the sky, but overall easy listening and effective for the situations.

Excellent singing and acting on all parts! You need that for a psycho-drama starring only 3 characters. Good times, I enjoyed it - check it out while it's still free on medici.tv
