On Spotify:

Robin Trower--Farther On Up The Road {Disc # 3 of the Chrysalis Years, 1977-1983}. To my ears, this was by far the weakest disc of the set, primarily because there was a little too much Bruce, and not enough Dewar.

Robin Trower--Long Misty Days/In City Dreams. Lately, I just can't seem to get enough of this guy!

On Spotify:

Gentle Giant--The Power and the Glory. This group does not excite me at all, as do my "regular" progressive rock bands such as Yes, ELP, Tull, King Crimson, although they are also from that fertile period of the seventies. I find their vocals to be wimpy and insipid, often to the point of being indecipherable. As for their instrumentation, it is for the most part extremely boring and uninspired. Any GG fans out there who disagree, and can "set me right"?

On Spotify:

Lee Morgan--The Procrastinator, with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Bobby Hutcherson. Very nice "cool" jazz, with just enough vibraphone by Hutcherson so I wouldn't get overly annoyed and distracted.

Earlier today, amidst the howling wind and torrential rain, I listened to this ephemeral album:
