I Love him as a great composers of classical music history, especially his later operas are brilliant examples of high art, as are many of his piano concertos and later symphonies.

While Bach may be the composer I listen to the most... love the most... Mozart is not far behind. As an opera lover I am especially enamored of his late operas, Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro, Cosi Fan Tutte, and The Magic Flute... all among the greatest operas ever written... perhaps THE best... in my opinion. Beyond this there are the piano concertos, the late symphonies, the late quartets, the Requiem and the Mass in C, the Clarinet Quintet and Clarinet Concerto, the Quintet for Piano and Winds, and on and on it goes.

Yes, I do love Mozart.

may be, because I am in Vienna, and this is the city to listen to Mozart's music. It is a very special feeling to be in the very same venues, where he once performed.

In my personal experience there is nothing like listening to the Requiem in Karlskriche, it is indeed thrilling.

I find it amazing, that his music can be playful, suitable for the emperor's court, but not shallow.

Besides, Mozart is my tragic hero. He died young (not as poor as the legend goes though).

I absolutely LOVE Mozart! Before I took composition lessons, I studied almost every work of his I could find. Even today, I still find new things within his works that baffle me.

So true! Wish I could explain, but I'm a mere amateur of music. The Magic Flute is a desert island disc.

Die Zauberflote is especially one of my favorite. I find it fascinating that he put so much Masonic Imagery within the music itself.

I hate Mozart but I like his music. Pleasant for driving and supermarket background... sometimes more. In other terms, I find him over-rated. Please don't beat me!
