It depends who's playing there I've been to concerts there where you could have a spare seat for your hat, and another for your coat...

|Er...I meant there isn't room on the stage!!! And most of the times I've been there it's been more or less sold out......

It's been a few years since I was last there for a concert...

... but the last programme I went to there was an extremely scruffy performance of shorter Bach cantatas with continuo accompaniment. The hall began around half-full. but the amateurish out-of-tune Kirkby-wannabes managed to get the audience down to about 60 doting mumsies and dadsies by the second half I only stayed to the end because I was going for a beer with the harpsichord tuner after

Oh dear....this is unusual for the Wigmore Hall....my last experience there was the Pacifica Quartet playing Shostakovich, and it was wonderful!!
Mind you, we've rather moved on from discussion of DON CARLOS, haven't we??!!!
