Hii. There is the heterophonic texture, that is quite prevalent in Chinese traditional music. Heterophonic texture basically refers to the instruments playing the same basic melody that is decorated with different usages of ornaments (based on their instruments' abilities). I know that jiangnan sizhu (Silk and Bamboo) uses it, but am not sure about the other part of Chinese traditional music.

Default "Flowing Water" on GuQin by Guan PingHu

Currently addicted to this .................... ♥ d-.-b

Guan PingHu plays "Flowing Water" on GuQin.

It's included in the gold plated record sent out to space with Voyager in the 1970s. It's also the longest track.

I'm not sure but this youtuber seems to have the rendition that's actually sent out to space. ^^
