I'll have to mention it to my wife. We both loved What A Carve Up, and my wife ended up reading everything else Coe has written.

I have bought copies of this in the past for Philidor, my brother and my stepdad!

Right now, I am reading Patricia's Cornwell's take on the Jack the Ripper murders. Before that, it was Leonard Cohen's Beautiful Losers. I have had Art Buchwald's We'll Laugh Again staring at me for some time, but I think that I want to pick something else fiction rather than that. Maybe I should pick up Sarah Palin's new book

maureen has a spectacular aura about maureen has a spectacular aura about
Default abandoned "plan of attack"...just couldn't hack it

finished rick ridgeway's book on the 1972 american summit of K2 which was very interesting
bunch of campers muckin aboot getting frost bite

started a biography (blue angel) of marlene dietrich...think i'll be abandoning that too...she's much more interesting as an enigma

and finally broke down and bought some field guides "the plant life of southern california" and "birds of california"
the last straw was seeing a little grey capped bird i couldn't identify and talking about a "cypress-like" tree with a friend...i just wanna know what i'm looking at !
when in rome...get the field guides

Hiya Mo! Always lovely to see you.

I am now reading AS Byatt's The Children's Book and it is a total treat. I love it.
