Default An unusual Beethoven sonata

This is one of my favorites, the almost entirely unknown op. 78.

F-sharp major. Only 2 movements.
The first is magic:

The second is crazy:

I like it when when those two things coincide. It makes it feel more personal - especially when it's chamber/solo music.

Isn't it special?

(The opening chord of that sonata, mac fans, is the same chord you hear when you first turn on your macbook. How funny!)

For me, half-synaesthete that I am, I always see this light golden-green in the first movement -- it's the F-sharp color. Was listening to the Ghost trio last movement the other day (I'm stuck in the op. 70s by Beethoven currently), and the chord at the end of the very first half phrase was very GREEN to me, "Is that an F-sharp chord?" So I listened again, "Yep, it is."

Despina: thanks. I find Beethoven difficult, but listen diligently.
