Default Excellent Brahms Violin Sonatas

You can download the entire Brahms Violin Sonatas album by Frank Almond and William Wolfram now off their website. Their op. 78 is one of the best.

Also if you don't know these performers, now's a good time to check them out. There are free audio files there too, including from the Respighi sonata.

You know, call me crazy, but I still LOVE the live 1989 recording on Sony (in Cleveland, I believe) with Perlman and Barenboim. It just has an awesome "live" quality to it.

Znaider/Bronfman RCA
Zukerman/Baenboim DGG

I also like the First Sonata with Arturo Delmoni on John Marks Records.

I just reviewed the Znaider at Audiophilia
