BUMP!
So Portugal is still in trouble, Argentina just 5th (!) in South-America, but Spain and England made it yesterday: ![]() (Stay tuned until they return as The Three Kitten again...) Talking about England and important threads: tonight is the final of the EURO's for women with England - has anybody watched a bit of the ongoing tournament? Far lower level than the last World Cup, but maybe one is just simply slightly disappointed after witnessing this lady two years ago: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkKV1bzu1-Q&feature=related"]YouTube - Marta - Show Woman[/ame]

O Noes! Feetballs!
I strongly suspect you're going to win this World Cup, Mischa. *Gnashes teeth*. [edited to add: oops, no, completely wrong there.] Shame, though, as I had Argentina in the office sweepstake. ![]() Anyway, England could have beaten Germany... If USA had come on and joined us at half time.

![]() I see this thread became somewhat dormant. I think this is the place to share a thought on Paul the psychic octopus. So basically the famous cephalopod predicted 8 results in the world cup. His competition included Mani, the psychic parakeet from Singapore and I would imagine Bongo, the psychic gorilla; Mr. Fluffs, the psychic cat; Spike, the psychic tarantula; Fred, the psychic mouse and so on. The probability of predicting 8 consecutive results would be 1/256. I would imagine the number of psychic animals in the whole world is bigger than 256, possibly even in the thousands. My point is that our dear Paul maybe isn't a psychic after all.

We really shouldn't eat octopus, they're the most intelligent cephalopod... but delicious. If you put a crab in a jam jar, screw on the lid, and place the jar next to the octopus, it takes him five minutes to learn to open the jar.

They really are bright.
