Default (Good) things from the bottom of the freezer

Fishing around in the freezer for something to take to work for lunch, I found something that looked sort of rice based and thought I'd take pot luck (no pun intended). Glad I did. It turned out to be a delicious, spicy risotto with chicken and diced pancetta.

No idea when I made it, but glad I did. Hopefully there is some more in there for tomorrow. Mm-mmm!

Do other people put unlabelled dinner leftovers in the freezer and then play lunch roulette (with usually good results) or is it just me? Assuming the freezer is functioning properly, it's a fairly safe strategy as I wouldn't bother freezing anything that tasted horrible and most of my cooking is of a stew/risotto persuasion that freezes and reheats very well.

Nooo, the chicken livers are still in there... somewhere....

And the cat didn't get pancetta.
