Ooohhh the scariest forum moderators I've come across are like Big Nurse...
Plus the film contains one of the most wonderful characters in the movies: |

Some of my patients used to call me Nurse Ratched!
Yes, he's perfectly cast in this.

The movies I've watched most often are rock and roll movies that the whole family loves: A Hard Days Night, The Blues Brothers, The Kids Are Alright, etc. During my college years, we watched a lot of the dormitory standbys over and over: Blue Velvet and the rest of the David Lynch filmography, plus all things Monty Python. I went through a period where I watched nothing but the films of American indie director Hal Hartley. He's gone too magic-realist for my liking in recent years, but The Unbelievable Truth, Trust, and Henry Fool are his deadpan, low budget masterworks. |

Gosh! What a great thread.
Whoever said Tarkovsky... Solaris... What a film! Have you read the book? One of my very favourites. And the Shawshank Redemption... another great film and a beautiful and interesting score, worth a discussion of its own. My most watched would have to include... 2001 The Shining Planet of the Apes (1968) Harvey Purple Rain Delicatessen Happy Feet Raising Arizona Team America - World Police Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail Bladerunner Enter the Dragon To Kill a Mockingbird The Silence of the Lambs Grease Close Encounters of the Third Kind Le Maitre de Musique On and on... |
