Default What do you know about New Music from Istanbul?

Hello all!

Since I recorded my "Listening to Istanbul" CD last year, a lot of people approached me and said that they wanted to find out more about classical contemporary music from Istanbul.

I thought it would be a nice idea to have a website that lets users explore the the vivid scene of contemporary music in Istanbul. You can browse composer names, see their CDs, and find out where the next concerts with Turkish music will take place.

If you are interested in what I did, please check out the website at

http://www.newmusicistanbul.com

Any comments are always welcome!

Best wishes,
Seda

Default It's fantastic!

Thanks a lot. From a quick look it looks like a great resource.

I'll be browsing through it a lot.

The Özkan Manav sample in the introduction video is delicious! Is a complete performance of Movement 6 anywhere in the site?

The cd is now on my Amazon wishlist

Unfortunately not, but a longer excerpt is available as a recording of a radio broadcast from Germany.
