I do think Puw is a inventive and good composer, and ..onyt agoraf y drws.. confirms that thought, strengthened by the impressions his more recent Torri'r Craig (2009) and Hologram (also 2009).
It is less agressive than the 2003 Reservoirs, a reaction to creating reservoirs in Welsh heartlands' valleys in order to supply the English midlands with drinking water, a work which basically established his name, but Puw shows again his ability of tone painting. IMO to become a new Mathias or Hoddinott. |

I'm now listening to "Symphonic Variations for Lorikeet, pounding surf, barking dogs, diesel all-wheel drives, and noisy neighbours" in the Mixitup-again Mode, by Getme Outahere.
