As I'm maken a work for the music academy, I have been listening a lot to the music of Jacobus de Kerle and Jacobus Clemens non Papa

I love this amplified-cello concerto by Charles Wuorinen. It's got a virtuoso cello part, breakneck meter changes, lyrical interludes, and jazzy dissonance all over the place.
