One for three orchestras!

The mistake was especially silly considering I'd deliberately used my fancy headphones (which I was given a couple of years ago) to listen to it, so as to experience the special spatial and antiphonal effects of the piece, such as the famous brass chord that echos around the orchestras around two-thirds of the way through the piece. These things can get lost when listening through speakers.

Incidentally, I looked at my Dover edition of Mozart's string quartets and in the last movement of K.421 someone had written 'Var 1' at the beginning of the first variation - except it was like the page was a photocopy of one where someone had written that. I wasn't too surprised because in my copy of Stravinsky's Requiem Canticles the same thing occurred, this time someone writing something like 'R3' at a particular tone row. I find it odd that these would crop up in copies of scores.
