Antonin Dvorak--Symphony No.8 in G Major, Op.88, performed by the Staatskapelle Dresden under the stick of Herbert Blomstedt.
Franz Schubert--Symphony No.6 in C Major, D 589, again featuring the Staatskapelle Dresden led by Maestro Blomstedt.
Robert Schumann--Symphony No.3 in E-Flat Major, Op.97 {"Rhenish"} and Symphony No.4 in D Minor, Op.120, both performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker under the baton of Herbert von Karajan.

Ludwig Van Beethoven--Symphony No.6 in F Major, Op.68 {"Pastoral"}, featuring the Vienna Philharmonic led by Karl Bohm.
Franz Schubert--Symphony No.5 in B Major, D 485, once again performed by the Vienna Philharmonic under the stick of Karl Bohm.

Two works tonight that have got my attention for various reasons :
a) Beethoven Piano Sonata 30, Op. 109;
b) Bruckner Symphony N° 5, 1st movement.
Brahms is nowhere on the horizon ...

And again (and repeatedly, I can't stop it) : Beethoven Op. 109 (period instrument, Malcolm Bilson). This is a volcano of a sonata, and (referring to other posts I have made on this forum) highly erotic. Talk to me about it.

At the moment I’m listening to the disk that was just recently issued with the Beethoven’s music performed by Maxim Rysanov, Kristina Blaumane and Jacob Katsnelson. It’s marvelous! I’m so happy I accidentally found it here
