What is the film actually about? That info might help with suggestions!

hi Kiwi -
let me mention some of the shorter symphonies by
Havergal Brian like No. 8 and No. 16.
He must be one of England's best kept secrets, and is less easily
recognisable.
He also has dark and heavy passages, among light and more
indifferent sounding moments.
These works are on both LP or CD.
I'm not sure about all the copyright details. All i know is that
U.S.-made recordings are illegal for sale in the U.K.
And maybe anything derived from non-British sources may be
illegal too. I dont know where you are located or plan to show
the film.
TheHavergal Brian Society
has a list of all recordings that have been made of his music
and could likely give you copyright info too.

happy hunting

Default Finding the right music track

Hi there-

As a fellow film-maker, I know very well how crucial the soundtrack is to the overall "feel" of the film. If you could provide some more details about the story line, the length, to which audience it's geared to, etc., I will don my special "thinking cap".

Best of luck!
