not even a little
it was too acrobatic and not really dance i would have welcomed the stage pieces (other dancers?) running away in a circle it was the most static dance piece i've ever seen |

I watched Giselle again tonight. This time with my wife.
![]() Here's a little clip from the performance we saw. Not the best representation in the world but it's the only one from that performance I could find. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xednZ_Ikoa0"]YouTube - Laƫtitia Pujol in Giselle[/ame] EDIT: I ask my wife what she wants to watch next time and she chose Coppelia.

With Christmas around the corner now, I ought to mention the super staging of Nutcracker by Matthew Bourne. Classical dance fans will be in apoplectic fits, but everyone else thought it was a fabulous show which captured the magic - and most importantly, told the story in a way that the classic choreography doesn't do so well.

You should have read what they wrote about his all-male-cast SWAN LAKE... I was sure there was only one "m" in "brimstone"...
For those within reach of London, Bourne's EDWARD SCISSORHANDS (an officially-licensed deal with Tim Burton) is on at Sadlers Wells currently, and there are even discounted tix available on Lastminute.com... that would make those Scissorhands tickets a "snip", I suppose... |

That's hilarious, haydnguy!
![]() The stereotyping would be even more complete if Mr Stone had gone further and made a remark about all the male dancers being gay. FK |

![]() I noticed the Proms this year were a mixed bag. Train spotters down the front in dirty T-shits, UKIP tweedsters with fussy mustaches the row behind them, then bespectacled music students clutching Eulenburg scores, but then a sprinkling of pretty girls from minor private schools smoking rollups. It was a good mix.
