Thumbs up

Quite nice video clip. I liked.

What was the other of instruments?
a 12-stringed guitar or something?

Some sort of lute or theorbo I believe.

I loved that clip. Unfortunately Early Baroque is a period I'm not too familiar with. I ought to explore it more at some point.

Some trivia: (although the it's not a lute in the clip) Stravinsky's favourite instrument was the lute.

Hi Aaro! Good to see you.

I wasn't over-bothered about the film and all that miming and weeping, but the music and the voice of the actual soprano (not the miming actress) are absolutely sublime.

It had me listening to Emma Kirkby singing Bingen while brushing my teeth this morning.

It's a French art film, which tend not to be populated by Englishmen responding to life's crises with a curt nod of the head.

Yeah. The soprano was quite hmm..

But at the end it fits quite good with tenor-parts.
And these opinnions have nothing to do with the fact that I sing tenor in a choir..

Their miming does look more realistic, it's true.

I was just thinking, when I singed with choir today, my voice was so down becaus of too high notes.
Please, don't say that I have to change to bass..
